Memorial Healthcare System’s Total Heart Center is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) team. This role will support both inpatient and outpatient services, with a primary focus on inpatient rounding in close collaboration with our ACHD Cardiologists at Memorial Regional Hospital.
The MCVI Adult Congenital Heart Disease program at Memorial Regional Hospital has earned national accreditation from the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA). We are the only accredited center in South Florida and the first center in the state to receive this distinction. Our team takes great pride in delivering comprehensive, lifelong care for adults with all types of congenital heart disease.
The selected candidate will play an integral role in the management of adult congenital heart disease patients across the continuum of care. Daily responsibilities include evaluating patients’ clinical status, developing and implementing treatment plan priorities based on diagnoses, and ensuring thorough documentation. The provider will perform detailed histories and physical examinations, complete admission and discharge summaries, and coordinate ongoing care plans.
Additional responsibilities include ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests; prescribing and monitoring pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies; and managing complex cardiac patients. The provider will prescribe controlled substances and must obtain and maintain an active DEA license.
Schedule Requirements:
• Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Rotating weekends (approximately every 4–6 weekends)
This is a full-time employed position offering competitive benefits and a compensation package commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability coverage are provided under sovereign immunity.
